My Story
I am a self-taught illustrator who transitioned from a career as a research scientist to pursue illustration. Along the way, I discovered an incredible wealth of online resources and extraordinary educators, without whom this journey wouldn’t have been possible.

I'm inspired by the patterns and textures found in nature. I love uncovering similar motifs across the natural world. As a scientist, I used microscopy to observe the intricate details of cells and tissues. That same curiosity now guides my exploration of the outdoors, often with a macro lens in hand to capture the beauty of the world up close.

Lately, I have been especially fascinated by how different lighting interacts with texture, color, and transparency of flower petals.
